2013! This is the year that all those born in the same year as me turn sixty. Well, that’s depressing as hell isn’t it? On the other hand its better than the alternative I guess.
Dian & KK took care of dinner for us today. Since we all have the same tradition of pork in some fashion it was an easy decision to make on having pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and green beans for our New Year’s Day dinner.
After our morning work hours and dinner was started in the crock pot we took a ride down to the docks to check out a half day fishing trip for Bob and the girls. This is one activity I won’t take part in because I get seasick.
They found what they wanted and hung out for a little while because it was just so nice to be outside today. We’ve been in the 80’s every day now and Dian and KK are totally enjoying it!
I took the necessary pelican pictures of course.
The African Queen was in dock so you can’t see it and just walk away if you are holding a camera in your hand. Actually, I think its physically impossible to do so.
On the way back to the truck we saw a boat offloading some fish that the fishermen caught.
Our dinner was delicious! The pork just fell apart and the locally grown green beans were so good!
Once again a fire was built and the evening was enjoyed.
