4/5/2014 Bird in the Bush

(Arizona City, AZ)

It was just six months or so ago that Bob landscaped our yard at our park model.  Some plants that were nothing more than a few stems with a couple of leaves and bushes that measured only a foot high.

Look at then today!

We’ve got blooms and the plant has doubled in size.  This is the same plant as the one above on the left.

The oleanders are blooming with lots of pink flowers and they grew enough that we even considered trimming them.

Our cactus has new leaves?  Leaves certainly doesn’t sound right, the sections of the cactus below must have a common name that I just can’t think of right now.  Anybody???

This cactus is just loaded with flowers but they won’t bloom before we leave so we’ll miss it this year.

This orange tree was hacked to hell and back last year in an attempt to trim it.  We so wish we had done it before anyone else had a chance to get their hands on it, but it is what it is.

It did green up which surprised us and a dove thought it was a great place to make a nest.

Since the water bib is so close to this tree the dove has gotten quite used to Bob.  In fact, he can pet her now and she doesn’t even flinch.  She knows he won’t hurt her.

This cactus belongs to our neighbors Grant and Wendy.  Isn’t it beautiful?
