Today, at one o’clock, we joined about a hundred other Quail Runner’s for lunch. A soup, bread and dessert lunch.
We all gathered at one of the park models and in the empty lots across the street, Tables and chairs were already gathered from area sites and set up and waiting for everyone to arrive. All invitees were asked to bring either a soup of their choice, some type of bread or a dessert.
As you can see, everyone is dressed for less than springtime weather. It was overcast and breezy today.
We had thirty one kinds of soup all lined up along a long table.
Here’s Bob tasting one of several soups he tried.
Pictured below is the favorite table of many here, the bread and dessert table!
Those corn muffins aren’t going to last long with Al and Dan around.
Jean B. wore her rain hat to make sure the rain stayed away.
Steve looks like he was wishing he didn’t have that last bowl of soup!
Not only was good food shared but laughs were too.
Our buddy Chuck always has a ready smile for me.
Ginny, deep in thought……..”What to have next, what to have next?brownies? cheese cake? cookies?
This soup lunch is held every year and we’re already looking forward to next years!
This afternoon we just hung out until evening time when we went to the Carvnaval Room to see the comedy/singing act of Bernie and Red. They had us rolling in the aisles! This British couple, who now call Canada home, perform all over the southern US states during the winter months. Funny people!
