We are starting to get into “gear” now that our departure date is next month.
We are both so ready to get on the road this year. Hitch itch is settling in for Bob and for me, well, each day is just one day closer to seeing my parents again.
Bob spends hours with maps spread all over the place as he is starting to plot our course eastward. We have places we want to stop and visit and people we want to see on the way so all of this has to be taken into consideration as we drive across country.
Lists are starting to be made of things that need to be done before we can hit the road.
New tires have already been ordered for the truck and they should be in soon. Wow….its expensive when you have to buy six BIG tires all at once.
In the meantime, the weather is getting better for the most part but we do have a day of rain in our forecast. We’ve been hitting the mid-70’s and the pool is starting to see a bit of action.
End of season activity luncheons/parties are scheduled, parties are being planned, invitations are being given out and we all wonder how we’re going to fit this all in. But we will, if one thing can be said for this group its that if a reason for a party comes about, we’re there!
I’m hearing quite a bit from everyone, where did this season go? It seems like yesterday that we all just arrived and here we’re planning farewell parties.

This season really has passed much quicker than we thought seven months would pass.
