After getting set up we drove into Albuquerque to get groceries and see a little of the city.
Our view driving into town.
After our trip to Walmart to restock the pantry we settled in for the afternoon and evening. I had hoped to get this blog all caught up since we didn't have an Internet connection Roswell but I found that pictures couldn't be uploaded. That made for a very frustrating afternoon.
It looks like hit number 11,000 has come and gone but I didn't hear from anyone saying it was them.
We did hear the weather report and it is going to put a change in our plans. We had originally planned on going to the Balloon Fiesta on Saturday for the mass ascension and night time moon glow but now the weather man says possible rain for Saturday. We'll go the Fiesta tomorrow now instead.
I went to the office to find out about their shuttle to the field. We can get a ride, access to a hospitality tent and the ride home for $22.00 per person. The downside? We have to catch the shuttle at 5:15 a.m.! Quarter after five! That means we have to get up at 4:30. Its been a long time since I've had to be up that early in the morning. We decided to do this since we don't know where the field is and it may be difficult in the dark and traffic is sure to be horrendous.
Special shape balloons are scheduled for tomorrow so we're sure to see some unusual balloons.
I'd better get going, 4:30 a.m. is going to come early!
