Bob worked on our Christmas lights today. We're getting lots of comments from passersby and little do they know he's only half done. I really think we're going to have one of the best displays when all is said and done. Not too many have put decorations up but we have to keep in mind that it is still early and lots of people still have to come in yet.
One of the problems we thought we were going to have is getting the lights all around the rig. Our house isn't one that you could use thumbtacks or small nails to hold the strings in place. I think we mentioned before that we had found suction cups with hooks. These were the best things we could have found.
For lights across the top where our rain gutter of a sort is we found these nifty little light holders.
Take note of the blue sky on the day these pictures were taken. The next pictures were taken the very next day and boy has our weather changed.
Bob hung a wreath on the front of the rig and is now measuring for the string of rope lights that will frame it. Take note of the sky now. I even had to break down and put a pair of jeans and sweatshirt on. I finally had to give in and accept that winter in Arizona has arrived.
The suction cups are applied.
The rope light comes next.
Some final adjustments. Ahhh, a little patch of blue sky.
We still have more decorating to do but it will have to wait for another day,,,,,when its warmer!
