Those are good words to live by and that’s exactly what we did today. We ate dessert first!
Our neighbor’s at our park model got together today for the annual dessert party. We gather at Mike and Barb’s, who host this annual party, around two and everyone brings a dessert to share and we pig out. There’s just no other way to put it. Everyone brings the most delicious treats and of course it’s a LAW that you have to try every single one.
We had just the prettiest day today for this gathering. Not too hot but certainly warm enough. There is no doubt that spring is in the air!
We always enjoy this gathering of our neighbors because it gives us a chance to sit and talk with people that may not be in our normal circle of friends that we hang out with. With some of them its sometimes no more than a casual hello when we see them outside.
While we enjoy this gathering its also a wakeup call. We’re running out of season.
Is that seconds or thirds Grant?
One thing for sure, dinner is a hit or miss thing tonight. For some a sandwich will be enough, for others a bowl cereal around eight will do and for some of us who visited the table more than once, twice OH HECK, three or four times, well they are set till breakfast in the morning! Of course I’m not mentioning any names here!
Once again, a nice dessert party and we ate too much.
