I was kept busy in the office/store pretty much all day and Bob continued his job on the Kabin roof.
Bob and Matt, busy at work.
The days were cut short on roofing because of the heat. Not that it was too hot for Bob and Matt, although it was, but because the shingles were melting! It's gotten hot here in Missouri with temps in the mid-90's.
Dan and Barb had hoped that the each Kabin would take three days for each roof but that just isn't realistic. Without the proper equipment needed for roofing, meaning there is no scaffolding available, with Matt being pulled off the job for river runs and Bob being pulled for other jobs, the heat too much for the roofing material, well, a roof in three days just ain't gonna happen.
Shingles going on....take note of that blue sky!To put the top rows of shingles on Bob has to sit on the peak and work on the rows below him. Not the best of situations to say the least.
As I said above, the campground is busy and the days go fast.
