Twenty six days now we've been in Texas, about sixteen days longer than we planned. We had planned on seeing our friends Rich and Jackie for a few days but now that isn't going to happen because time is running out for us before we have to be in Missouri. Going to Austin to see them was going in the opposite direction of where we had to go. We are so disappointed to have to change those plans but it just can't be helped. Thankfully, they understood and assured us we would get together somewhere down the road at another time and location.
We were at the body shop by eight and they were still putting the finishing touches on our rig. The awning still had to be put back on and few places still had to have the tape removed. We waited patiently.
Our first thought was....It's so WHITE! It isn't the same color it was when we brought it in. Over the last five years the original color had yellowed somewhat as RV's do. In the building under the flurescent lighting we just didn't like what we were seeing. When it was finally ready, Jeff thanked us for our patience and in return we thanked him for the good job he did.
We finally got it hooked up and we were on the road! What a relief. We were home again.
We headed back to Livingston as we still had to get our driver's licenses and registrations.
