We moved a whole 15 miles today. If that. We had an 8:30 appointment today for our rig at RV City so we were up and at ‘em early this morning.
A picture of the Buffalo Soldier plaza as we left.
Mountains in the morning mist. Nah, can’t be mist, we’re in the desert. Fog? Flying sand? Dust? Pick one.
So we didn’t have far to go and we got there with time to spare. We let them know we were there and started the paperwork on what our concerns were. They told us fine and someone would be with us.
We went out to unhook the truck, put the slides out and we sat and waited. And waited. By now we’ve hooked up to electric and got the computers out to help us pass the time while we waited.
Finally, Larry came by and went over our list of concerns with us and left. Next came Melissa, she worked in the Warranty Parts Department and came to get her paperwork out of the way. While she was there we asked her if she knew how to work the DVD player. We’ve got three remotes and just don’t have a clue! While we were in Quail Run we had our dish set up and plenty of channels to choose from and never put a movie in. If we were going to spend the night, and it certainly looked that way, then we were going to need to play a movie because there no channels to be picked up on antenna alone. She sent Brian over to help us with that. In short order he taught us how to use our DVD player. Yes, we could have read the book and I did look at very briefly and quickly decided that to understand it one surely must be a MENSA member!
That was day one.
