11/15/06 Tampa Bound

We "broke camp" and were on the road by 7:30 a.m. We'll drive until we reach the Tampa area as we're meeting up with some friends for Jimmy Buffett's last concert of his "Party at the End of the World" tour.

We're meeting up with Chris and Bonnie Hick at a park they are staying in in Bradenton. I "met" Bonnie two years ago online thru RV.net. When the concert was announced she emailed me and asked if we would be in Florida in time. I told her we would and to get us tickets if she could. She was able to score 10 tickets. We were finally going to get to meet in person.

My brother Billy, our sister-in-law Michelle, their son Dusty and daughter-in-law Brittany were flying down in the morning to attend the concert also. They are staying in Sarasota for a few days with friends Paul and Susan, recent transplants from Delaware. We'll all meet up on Thursday morning.

We pulled into the RV resort (campground just doesn't fit here) and met Chris and Bonnie and some of their friends. I still had cooking to do for the concert the next day and a trip to Walmart was in order. Off Bonnie and I went to get some shopping done. Bonnie had to borrow a car for us as Bob had decided we weren't unhooking anything since we were leaving early the next morning and Bonnie doesn't drive their tow vehicle around town,,,,,,,here's why......
