It didn’t take us long to get moving this morning! We are so ready to move on. Our destination today is Dillon, Montana.
We got everything put into its place, hooked the rig to the truck, checked the lights, checked the brakes. UH-OH! No brakes on the rig. Darn, we just had this worked on Friday! I got on the phone and told the repair shop what was wrong and that we were on our way. They said they would be ready for us when we arrived and true to their word they were. In no time at all the problem was fixed and we were road ready.
LaVon, I’ll take care of your dead tree first. It stood in this field all by itself, dead.
Now how many of you can tell me you wouldn’t be happy as a clam to spend some time here?
The river looked so peaceful as it wound its way through the countryside.
The devastation of the pine beetle was quite evident along this roadway.
After driving for awhile it looked like we had left the Montana we had come to know over the past two weeks. This Montana was so,,,, so,,,, BROWN! And not so flat anymore!
Actually, it was quite depressing. We’re going to be in “brown” soon enough, I don’t need it here.
Then all of a sudden there’s GREEN!
A little further down the road and small herds of Pronghorn’s were everywhere but they didn’t allow themselves to good picture taking because they were all laying down for their afternoon nap.
It was an easy drive today and for the most part we had the road to ourselves. The “hills” weren’t bad at all and we had smooth sailing.
We found the park we’re staying in with no problem and we’ll be here for two nights. We are in the Southside RV Park and its very nice. The owners just can’t do enough for you to make sure your stay is pleasant. I was thrilled to hear they have clotheslines here! Real clotheslines! Sheets will get washed tomorrow whether they need it or not! I can’t wait to hang them outside. Oh, I miss that.
We were greeted by the local fowl when we got all set up and ready for “company”. These two have absolutely no fear of humans.
I think they were actually posing for this picture! In fact, I think the one on the right just had her feathers done!
This one is a HAM!
These aren't the only fowl on the property. There is a small stream that runs through the campground and has about a dozen ducks that I could see.
There’s also some farm animals.
SHEEP and a calf.
There’s also the mama cow.
Wanna know how I know this was the mama cow? Junior was hungry!
The sheep were very photogenic.

Thanks for the dead tree!!
Don and I enjoyed this blog immensely. The river, the farm animals, the stream... so beautiful. Excited to see that you've learned SHEEP. And those chickens... amazing!
Be safe. Love ya Sista.
