(Arizona City, AZ)
We had a week off because of the Winter Olympics but we’re back on the course today.
Oh did the Danielson’s ever have a good one for us this week!
Some of the holes were assigned a different kind of ball. We had to use anything from a tennis ball to a Nerf ball to ping pong ball. Oh those Danielson’s!
Carol with the Nerf ball.
Bob with tennis ball.
Ping pong ball golf!

2/25/2015 Girlfriends Gather At the Garden
(Arizona City, AZ)
Today the ladies in the park, about 50 of us, gathered at the Olive Garden for lunch.
Yes, we’re altogether and we took the whole room. There’s more than just pictured here.
I’m not in many pictures and I so appreciate someone saying, “Give me your camera so you can be included too.
The manager came out and announced that Olive Garden was going to give one of us a $25.00 gift certificate. This was their way of saying Thank You for coming to Olive Garden each month for our ladies luncheon. The winner would be randomly picked from our lunch check numbers.
Marge S. was the winner.
This evening brought a farewell BBQ dinner. We’re saying an early goodbye to Steve and Jodee. This was their first year here and we were lucky enough to be their neighbors.
Our special friend, Bonnie.
As with any get together, we had way too much food. It didn’t help that we had all been at the ladies lunch earlier in the day.
Soon the food was done and the drink came out.
Ohhhh,,,,not me!
We had a group shot.
Steve and Jodee, Robert and Susan, Bob and me.
Steve an Jodee, you two were so much fun. I know you won’t be back to Quail Run but we certainly hope our paths cross again

2/24/2015 Party at Duffer’s!
(Arizona City, AZ)
This evening a bunch of us went to Duffer’s to see the band, two members of which belong to Quail Run. Duffer’s is the bar at the local golf course.
Northwind, with Bill & Pat Turner, Quail Run residents. Bill is the one in the white shirt and Pat is the lady.
While dancing tonight I had quite the scare. Suddenly I lost my breath. I could not catch it and was really in distress. I was given a chair and then walked outside to get some air. There were two nurses there and they took care of checking my pulse and making sure I was ok. I was after a while but it sure was scary when it was going on.

Wild Bill as he’s known, is always so much fun.

2/21/2015 Winter Olympics–The Last Day
(Arizona City, AZ)
Today is the last day of our competitions. There are several events happening today and everyone just moves from one event to the next.
We had another new event to our Winter Olympics make its debut today. HOCKEY! The Canadians brought this to our Winter Olympics.
There was a large cardboard wall with three slots cut out at the bottom. We had a child’s hockey set which provided the stick and plastic pucks and balls. It wasn’t as easy as it looks!
My friend and shuffleboard partner, Betty.
Everyone had to spend time in the penalty box while waiting for their turn.
Just as a side note, an American ended up winning the Gold!
Also rounding our Winter Olympic Week was Darts.
Here’s Sandy and Diane sharing a good laugh.
What are they laughing about you wonder? This!
Bob taking his turn.
Yeah, we’re having a laugh over mine too!
Ladder Golf was up next.
Another Winter Olympic event in Quail Run is the ever popular Bean Bag Toss.
This was another one I didn’t do well in this year.
I hope Shirley did better than me!
The last event….Frisbee!
Carol getting to fling it!
Such form!
All the events have been played. The closing ceremony was next.
Bob with his flag bearer duties.
Bob and I did end up winning medals and we were both surprised because neither one of us knew until our names were called.
Bob took the Bronze medal in Darts.
My partner, Betty Bennett and I took Silver in Shuffleboard Partners.
Until next year the Olympic Flame was extinguished. I think everyone had a a great week!
My camera certainly needs a rest as does my shutter finger. I took nearly eight hundred pictures this week.

I didn’t do very well at hockey either.
Just some of the many spectators.
