2/21/2015 Winter Olympics–The Last Day

(Arizona City, AZ)

Today is the last day of our competitions.  There are several events happening today and everyone just moves from one event to the next.

We had another new event to our Winter Olympics make its debut today.  HOCKEY!  The Canadians brought this to our Winter Olympics.

There was a large cardboard wall with three slots cut out at the bottom.  We had a child’s hockey set which provided the stick and plastic pucks and balls.  It wasn’t as easy as it looks!

My friend and shuffleboard partner, Betty.

Everyone had to spend time in the penalty box while waiting for their turn.

Just as a side note, an American ended up winning the Gold!

Also rounding our Winter Olympic Week was Darts.

Another Winter Olympic event in Quail Run is the ever popular Bean Bag Toss.

This was another one I didn’t do well in this year.

Bob and I did end up winning medals and we were both surprised because neither one of us knew until our names were called.

Bob took the Bronze medal in Darts.

Until next year the Olympic Flame was extinguished.  I think everyone had a a great week!

My camera certainly needs a rest as does my shutter finger.  I took nearly eight hundred pictures this week.
