Today was the best line dance class we’ve had all year. We did ten different dances to the great music Sandy picked out this week. This class was so much fun! Everyone just had the greatest time. After class we all rushed home to put the finishing touches we were bringing to the salad luncheon we are having to wind up the line dancing season. That’s not to say we’re done with our Tuesday morning classes just that we had the luncheon today before class participants started pulling out for their next destinations.
As usual we had tons of food!
There were so many salads and breads and desserts to choose from that everyone ended up taking a spoonful of this and a spoonful of that.
After lunch gifts were presented. Sandy and Carl gave gifts to the other two line dance leaders and then I presented the Tuesday morning line dance class’ gift to Sandy and Carl. A collection was taken up and everyone signed the card. I must say not only does this park like to dance,,,it is home to some very generous people too.
Of course we had to dance!
It was a great end of season luncheon but I’m glad the actual classes aren’t done yet.
After this was over I made my way to the park laundry room to take care of the necessity of washing clothes. To help the time pass I called my friend Donna to see if she wanted to play Mexican Train or cards. She stopped and got our friend Betty and we played the afternoon away.
In an hours time we went from sunshine with blue skies with the occasional fluffy white cloud to dark as night, pouring rain, hail and back to sunshine. All within an hour! Crazy weather in the desert to be sure.
