I love your pictures & it brings back so many memories of our trip from Washington down to California in 2000. Those redwoods are awesome!
I always wanted to just boondock along the ocean at some of those pull offs. Bill & I sat on a guard rail & ate our lunch one day looking out over that beautiful site!

I got this email from friends of our traveling in Oregon. Maybe on your way back from Alaska you could find this one. I'm sure it's not an El Cheapo, but sounds like fun. No city though. I'll have to check it out.

"We found a wonderful campground in South central Oregon that we would highly recommend to anyone coming this way... It was located on a 8,000 acre working cattle ranch a few miles outside Lakeview.
We drove down a good wide gravel road, pass the ranch house, pass the barns and over a rolling hill to circle up with the other RVers's. It was extremely quiet and peaceful, and each site was huge with trees for shade; and although we had full hook ups, the baths were tile, spacious and very clean (even had blow dryers for your use). The campground host provided snacks, ice, popsicles, etc. with the honor system and even a computer with free Wifi. The best part was that we had access to the whole ranch with a 6 1/2 mile drive or trails for walking among the grazing cattle or the lake. About 1/4 mile behind our camp was a babbling creek where we sat on the wooden bridge with our feet in the water and warm sun on our backs. The best part happened about dusk as we sat outside at our campsite, and looked up and over the hill came a cowboy leading a herd of about 70 cows with two young cute cowboys (about 8 and 10) bringing up the rear. They had separated older calves from their moms and brought them to a pasture next to us. Free entertainment!!!! The cows were upset and ran back and forth looking for their moms but settle down at night and we all had a great peaceful night on the ranch."

Finally, after all these years of reading your blog I won the counter turning contest. LOL. I turned the counter to 60000, so when you travel thru beautiful British Columbia you can drop off my prize personally. Enjoy your travels.
