10/8/07 Bottomless Lakes State Park

Today we had a beautiful to take a nice ride through the Bottomless Lakes State Park not too far from our campground. This area was declared New Mexico's first state park in 1933.

Lea Lake is the deepest at 90 feet and the only one that allows swimming. There is also a campground at this lake. We would have very much liked to have stayed here at $14.00 a night but they don't have a computer connection so that idea went out the window.

A picture taken from high above the lake. Take notice of the RV's.

Another view including the day use area.

We passed these guys grazing.

We decided that we have seen all that Roswell has to offer, well, anything that we're interested in seeing. We called the campground we have reservations for in Albuquerque to see if we it was possible that we come in a day early. They said yes! So we're packing up a day early and heading north.

We haven't had pizza since we left Missouri and we decided it was what we wanted for dinner. We had Pizza Hut deliver a large pizza and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

After putting as much in place for travel as we could we settled for a night of TV.
