8/25/2011 Problem Fixed!

Here we are working again today even though we have Dianne here with us and it is our regularly scheduled day off.

We played a few games to pass the time and finally at 2:30 we figured enough was enough. I went to DeWayne and Joy’s place and told DeWayne, “Lets go and kick some Air Force butt!”

He and I went to the office where the contracts are written and after many wrong turns in the finance building found someone who knew who we needed to see.

Led to the correct person we pleaded our case. At first we were told that there was no way Bob and I should be working and that is was Outdoor Rec’s responsibility to find substitutes until the contract was signed, sealed and delivered. That didn’t really sit well with DeWayne or me because we know how things are supposed to be done and bringing in someone new would only throw monkey wrenches in our system and besides, DeWayne and Joy would only hover to make sure no major mistakes were made that would cause us confusion later and therefore not giving them a day off.

Ultimately, we were told that the contract was written and it was in legal awaiting signature. DeWayne spoke up and asked if the lady could at least call and see if it was signed and just sitting on someone’s desk. Well, lo and behold it was! She retrieved it, made a few corrections, DeWayne signed it and now they are legal camp hosts!

Also on a happy note…..the paycheck that was late yesterday, arrived today!

We decided to go out for dinner but couldn’t decide where to go. We got in the truck and decided we would just drive and decide on the way.

An interesting sky as we drove down I-90. It’s not this dark outside, just this really dense cloud formation with the sun shining through. Its actually still very much daylight outside as you’ll see in the next picture. Really, really strange! And now that I think about it, this was taken through our tinted window also so that would add to the darkness too I guess.

We finally ended up HERE and had a good meal. Well Bob and Dianne did, my steak was on the TOUGH side.
