1/6/07 A Day for Fishing

Today we're going fishing. Steve and Renee, our neighbors from Michigan have asked a group to join them at one of the county parks for an afternoon of fishing. None of us women have a fishing license as yet so we'll bring our books to read and pass the time talking while the men fish. This park, name unknown, is located in a residential area that has a canal running through it. As all Florida parks are it was nicely landscaped, very clean and had picnic tables under cover along with park benches. Here's a picture to give you an idea of what it looked like.

This next picture is one of a little statue of a boy fishing from the stone wall that is actually part of someones backyard. We thought the tiny little cooler was a nice touch.

Here's a picture of one of the live oak trees that is loaded with "Spanish Moss".

Now here is a picture of an intent fisherman...Bob

The first fish is caught by Dale (Michigan)

All in all, not a lot of fish were caught and none were kept but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon.
