3/27/07 Goodbye Florida, Hello Alabama

The time has come for us to leave Florida. Next stop? Alabama!

We've decided to visit the Gulf Shores area as neither one of us has been in this area of Alabama before.

Scenery from the road

We made our way to the campground we are staying in for the three nights we'll be here. We're staying in one of our Escapees' member parks. Its a bit off the beaten path so it should be a quiet place at night time. No noise from interstates and we didn't see any railroad tracks in the area. Staying in this park cost us only $11.50 per night. We like that!

Our site was big and we had a nice shade tree. Wanna guess where the couple in the site next to us was from? Right again! Michigan! Are they following us?

Since this was a travel day for us we tend to stick close to our HOW (home on wheels). While I got dinner ready Bob took a ride on his bike around the campground. This place is HUGE! Since this is an Escapee owned park there are lots in the back that members bought and built permanent homes on. Seems like they all have very tall garages to fit their rigs into.

Well, here we are in Alabama, safe and sound.
