6/18/07 Finders, Keepers......

When someone checks out of one of the Kamper Kabins or Kamper Kottages it is my job to go in and make sure they didn't wreck the place, to make sure there is a liner in the trash can, to sweep the floor and to possibly wet mop it if need be. Also, to make sure to take out anything they may have left behind. The cool part? I get to keep whatever they leave behind if I want it. Even money.
So far I've gotten a camp coffee pot. I have no use for this as intended so I'll put some flowers in it.

And then there this was coffee pot. This is brand new. The cord wasn't even taken out of the twist tie and the plastic bag it was wrapped in was still in the box it came in. Its a 12 volt coffee pot which means it will run off batteries if need be. We'll hang on to this, you never know when the electric will go out.

Someone left behind this cooler. It DID have some beer and Mike's Iced Tea in it but they are long gone. Bob didn't want to see them go to waste.

And MONEY....I have found money left behind too! Drum roll please.....

23 CENTS!

Certainly not enough to retire on, but hey, its only June.

Bob finished up some projects he was working on. The benches near the community fire pit are now completed.

His next project was to repair the fence around the dumpster. Last year someone ran into it with their motorhome.

Another day in Missouri.
