9/14/07 A Turn Towards Chilly

Those of us here in Missouri, who suffered through 100 + degrees just a few weeks ago, welcomed the cool down we received when the heatwave broke. Now we've been taken down another notch in the temperature. We woke this morning to much cooler weather than we've had. The air has a real autumnal feel to it now and I don't know if we're ready for this yet.

Today was a day for odds and ends, no big projects got completed today.

We made a Walmart run and as usual we didn't get out of there for under $100.00. We had to get a flash card for the new camera, (we got the wrong one) a new camera bag and we picked up a few things in the grocery section. Bob did get a new brush with a long handle and hose attachment for washing the rig.

Back at home we just puttered. We put a few more things away, rearranged a cabinet and just pretty much took it easy.

We have made the decision that we'll be pulling out of here on Monday morning. This was decided after five when we realized that we hadn't picked up the last of Bob's paperwork from the doctor he has seen here. As anxious as we were to get on the road we find ourselves here a full week after our jobs were over. And it's good. We're OK with it. It's been a nice way to get everything clean and tidy and not to have to rush to do it. Hopefully, our rushing days are over no matter what we are doing.

By six we had all the windows closed as the temperature was dropping quickly. Yep, fall is just around the corner.
