6/19/2013 The Unloading Continues

(Arizona City, AZ)

We got an early start today moving our clothing and everything else we wanted into our park model.

By noon we had moved everything.  It didn’t take long for me to get to the pool and for Bob to make himself comfortable in the air conditioning.

Today Bob started the search for flights to Delaware so that we can go home for several weeks to see family and friends.

We had hoped to be able secure a camp host position in Delaware or nearby Maryland for the rest of the summer.  There was one available but they wanted us to come in for an interview first.  Well, that wasn’t going to work.  What if we drove across country and then weren’t picked.  What would we do then?

It’s been decided that we’re going to have a potluck dinner here in the park, for the few of us that are here, on Sunday the 23rd and then afterwards we’ll watch Nick Wallenda walk the tightrope over the Grand Canyon.  Any reason for a potluck dinner will do!

Bob is concerned that we won’t be able to use our rooftop satellite dish.  What do you think?

(Darn birds!)

In the late afternoon the wind kicked up and dust devils were everywhere.
