10/15-18/2011

We’re all here in the Rio Grande Valley now, with the exception of Val and Jerry and we’re hoping they are going to be here real soon.

We’ve been busy getting our rigs set up and learning our way around the park. When you are going to stay more than just a day or two in one place you bring a few things out to make it feel like home. Not everything of course because that’s just all the more you have to put away when its time to move again.

We had to have Directv come out because no matter what we did we couldn’t get the TV in the bedroom to work. Oh boy did I feel stupid when I found out what was wrong. We didn’t have the TV set to channel 3! While the fella was here he did tune our dish a little bit better on the satellite which took him all of 3 minutes. I’m glad we pay for the service plan because I would have been really bummed out to have to pay $50.00 to have the man change the channel. This year we’re ahead on the service plan. Three visits so far so the plan has paid for itself and then some.

It is HOT down here. We’ve been in the high 90’s everyday and the humidity is up there pretty high which is a killer for all of us.

Each couple has ventured out a little to the surrounding town to get the lay of the land.

I’ll get some pictures of where we are and the park within the next day or two. I’ve gotta run, its time to meet the girls for a game of Mexican Train.
