10/7/2011 Our Wheels are Rollin’

We got up super early this morning. To us, six in the morning is super early.

We packed as much as we could into the truck yesterday so we didn’t have all that much to do, or so we thought. It seems that our list that we made last evening of things to do grew by leaps and bounds and we’re still wondering how that happened.

We wanted to be on the road by seven. That didn’t happen. We adjusted our time to seven-thirty. That didn’t happen. Finally at 8:05 we were on the road to Tucson to pick up the 5th wheel.

We left, confident that our Park Model was ready for its winter occupants.

Our view of Picacho Peak this morning.

Of course we went through Texas Canyon again and yes you are going to have endure pictures of it. Look at it this way, these are eastbound pictures which I haven’t posted in a year and a half! It will be like seeing them for the first time! YAY!

I know, I know, they’re ROCKS!

But I like them and I decide what pictures are posted.

Looks like some graffiti was whited out on the rock in the forefront.

….and one from the westbound side so you can see a truck in comparison to get an idea of just how big these rocks are.

Actually, these pics were taken in Arizona. The Texas Canyon is in that state but Texas is nice too!

I love Texas Canyon.. those smooth big rocks came down from someplace, tossed and turned and dropped like weather poop on the side of the road. It's nice to feel like I was there in the truck with you.
