5/6/07 Bob Makes Yard Art

We woke this morning to cloudy skies and rain is called for. We decided to stay close to "home" today. Remember, home is where we park it.

Bob cleaned out our basement this afternoon and then settled in to make some "yard art" like we had seen in Fairhope, Alabama.

Several campers stopped by to see what he was doing and they all seemed to be pretty amazed when he got them all twirling at the same time.

On my way to feed the fish today I saw these turtles sunning themselves.

We debated about whether to extend our stay in the campground another day or not but the decision was quickly made for us when the space next to us was taken. The guy who stays in the campground "all the time", so much so that he considers himself a fixture here, came back today. That would be fine except he positioned his rig so close to the edge of his site that his awning actually overshadowed ours. We couldn't sit out under ours because his front door was literally just a few feet from us, not a comfortable feeling at all. We figured he parked this way so that when we left and he extended his awning all the way out another camper wouldn't be able to pull into our spot giving him a very large front yard facing the pond. I guess the owner is OK with this since he is here quite a bit and no doubt they are friends. Oh well, our house has wheels, we'll just move on.

We spent the late afternoon and early evening breaking camp, putting things away, securing outside items and generally getting ready to move.

Before we settled in the for evening Bob did take the time to add Arkansas to our state map.

After dinner we watched TV, played online games and then turned in early so we would could get on the road at a decent hour.
