I've been writing about the humidity, or lack thereof as far as I was concerned, for a little while now. Well, it has arrived! Not the take your breath away kind of humidity that those who live on the east coast can relate to, but humidity all the same. Its gotten hot enough here now that we have finally turned on the air conditioner so that sleep comes more easily at night.
We can tell summer vacations have started. We're filling more spaces at night now and some are even staying for a few days rather than moving on after a nights sleep. Our playground is getting much more use than it was due to the kids being out of school.
Since Missouri is known as the "Cave State" we're getting campers now that are visiting many of the caves and since Meramec Caverns is just 3 miles down the road we're picking up business from that.
I think its safe to say that summer is in full swing in Stanton, Missouri.
