5/4/2010 SURPRISE!

Around noon Bob called over to Bayshore Ford to get an idea of what was going on with the truck. He was told that they were so busy that that wouldn’t even get to look at it until FRIDAY! This is only Tuesday and they won’t even look at until the end of the week. Wanna guess how much he didn’t like hearing that? His mood just went downhill from there.

One half hour later we got a call from Bayshore. The truck was done! WHAT??? Talk about the left hand not knowing what the right was doing! He didn’t question it, he and my dad got in the car and went right over there.

Sure enough it was done. Seems as though a Fuel Injection Control Module went belly up and the biggest surprise was that there was no cost to us. WHAT??? Maybe we got our wires crossed in Montana and our warranty is still in effect or maybe they didn’t check warranty status since it is an 06 and they just assumed it was covered. Who knows? We didn’t question it!

For dinner Bob made halibut for Dad and himself. Neither Mom or I eat fish so we had a major decision to make….what do we have? Hmmm….CHEESESTEAKS! I’ve got to stop this, this is THREE this week! Oh the hell with it, they are good, I’ve done without for nearly two years and I want them! <<<she said as she stood on the scale scared death to look down>>> Yeah right, like I would get anywhere near a scale right now.

So it was a good day after all. Truck was done. Didn’t cost us a cent. Bob and Dad thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and I had the pleasure of another cheesesteak. Yep, a good day!

Great outcome with the truck. Counting blessings on this one, huh?

Good things happen to good people, Glad to see you got your truck back, and the price was sure right. The warranty just expired on our duramax, and now Sam worries that since it's been trouble free and has 70.000 miles that whatever goes wrong will be on us, and expensive. Keep up the great blog, be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
