6/10/2012 And the Crowd Goes Home

Ahhhh, Sunday. The day us locals look forward to. At least until summer vacations are in full swing and the beach is crowded all the time. Its been very nice during the week this past month of course that is all about to change here very soon. We’ve been hearing a lot about staycations and I think with this economy right now we’re going to see a lot of Delawareans staying within the state boundaries for their summer vacations.

Today wasn’t busy for us in the marina. That isn’t to say we didn’t have anyone out in their boats but not nearly as many as yesterday.

Bob took off at four because we had a mandatory BBQ to attend. I think it was called a Seasonal Employee Orientation. On a personal level I think these kinds of casual meetings are a good thing. However, I would like them a whole lot better if we were approached with, “We would like you and Bob to join us for a Seasonal Employee Orientation meeting and BBQ dinner. We encourage you to make every effort to attend. In my eyes that’s so much better than BE THERE which is what the mandatory conveys.

So we went, we ate, we listened, we left.
