6/15/08 On the Road Again...

First things first! Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. I had a nice phone call with my dad today and I'll tell ya right now, I can't wait to get home to see him. My mom too of course.

We pulled out of Mom and Pop's place early this morning. Its so easy to get on the road when you don't unhook the rig from the truck. Its just a matter of putting the TV antennae down, washing and putting away any dishes used, unhooking water hoses and pulling in the slides and shutting the door. In all reality there is probably more that we do but that's it in a nutshell.

Today we're heading to Coronado State Park in Bernalillo, NM. We saw some great scenery on the way.

I wonder if this cow is wondering if the grass is greener on the other side?

This sign was a first for us.

Bob had pretty scenery on his side too.

We couldn't help but notice the white sand in the dry river bed.

We passed this pickup selling watermelons. They advertise them as being Blessed By Jesus. (Click to enlarge)

We pulled into Coronado State Park and were lucky enough to get another pull through site. Yeah! No unhooking the rig.

Each site has one of these picnic table shelters on it.

This is the view we had out our back windows. That's the Rio Grande you see.

We got set up pretty quickly because we wanted to see what was supposed to be the last day of the U S Open golf tournament. For those of you who watched...was Tiger phenomenal or what? What a golfer he is!

A birthday wish goes out to our sister-in-law Linda. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Another day on the road down.
