9/11/2010 Moving Day Continues!

We were up early this morning trying to get as much moved before the skies opened up and the predicted rain poured down.

First order of business was getting our freezer moved. Rick had offered to help Bob but it was moved and hooked up before Rick was even out of bed.

Neither one of us can believe how much STUFF we have. We pulled things out that we know we shouldn’t be carrying with us. Hell, we pulled out things we shouldn’t even own anymore! I found a bag of Beanie Baby bears! How many years ago was that craze? Bob has been carrying chest waders. They were used once! Bob doesn’t buy anything cheap so they are good ones, if you know anyone in the market, let us know. We’ll let them go at a reasonable price and ship them off. I hate to even think about how many books I’m carrying.

The sky opened up and the rain came down. There was no use in even attempting to use an umbrella, you can’t carry one and boxes too. After awhile we were just soaked through and through.

Finally the last of our belongings were transferred to the new rig. One problem now. Soaking wet bikes…brand new rig. Nope, those two just don’t go together. We put them inside the fence and chained them. We’ll pick them up Monday.

We traveled 29 miles down the road to a beautifully kept RV resort. Hidden Ridge is its name and it truly is a very nice place. With very nice nightly fees! We’re were given off season rates although they don’t officially start until the 13th. Still at $39.00 a night, its more than we want to pay. At least our first night is free and we’re only staying two more. Just until we can get our new house in order.

By the time we got there, semi set up, ate, read our email, we were done! We were so tired we couldn’t get out of own ways. So we did nothing. We thought it better to go to bed early, get a good night's sleep and start fresh in the morning. Sounds like a plan. Anything with sleep involved would sound like a good plan to me!

Tomorrow’s a new day.

Wow Congrats on the new home! Can't wait to see pictures and better yet I would love to see it in person.
You have had a stressful last few weeks (water disaster) but once you get a few things organized you will be happy again.
Tommy and I are happy for you both. For now, screw the underwear...go commando! LOL
