9/2/2010 Oh No! Not Earl!

Looks like we’ve got a hurricane headed our way. Being surrounded on three sides by water,,,an ocean, a river and a bay,,,,a hurricane can be a very bad thing, No one is sure exactly where Earl is going to go yet but we’re all voting for OUT TO SEA!

Nothing special happened today, but our night time sky more than made up for our mundane day.

It started out pretty much like a non-descript sunset. Just so-so, seen better.

As I turned to walk back to the rig I noticed the sky that had been behind me.

Then suddenly, it was like the sky exploded all around us.

The more minutes that passed, the more intense the color.

It was like the sky was on fire!

Just as quickly as this intense color arrived, it left, and left this pink glow in its wake.

What an intense 10 minutes this was! HE put on quite a show for us.
