Today all the Halloween decorations came down and were packed away. We had taken the ghosts down that were hanging from the ceiling fans on Saturday and cleared the stage area before the church services that took place on Sunday. Before the boxes were taken to be stored we went through everything and got rid of the junk that was in some of the boxes. I just don't understand why someone would pack away something that was obviously ripped, broken or just beyond being useful anymore and from the looks of things this had been going on for a few years. Needless to say we had more room in the boxes going back into the storage facility than they had when they came out. Sometimes you just have to clean things out.
When the Halloween things were put away the Thanksgiving things were taken out. They didn't get put up today as we had a few other projects to work on.
Our neighbors have started arriving! Chuck and Janet, two doors down are here now as are our neighbors Wilf and Marilyn. The latter don't live on our street anymore because they bought a park model last year but they are close by and we'll see lots of them. Its beginning to feel like our "winter home" again.
I've been getting lots of phone calls these past few days from "family" singing groups wanting to know if there is room in the schedule for them. There must be a lot of home schooling going on if these families travel from RV park to RV park all winter long with seven and eight kids in tow. I don't think that's a life I would enjoy but to each their own I guess.
